Preseason is officially here and the Batemans Bay Seahawks are gearing up for a big 2026 season, with a stacked schedule of camps, practice matches and competition footy ahead.

From Under 18s to our Senior Men’s and Women’s programs, there are plenty of opportunities for players, members and supporters to get involved and follow the action. 

Friday 21st February – Queanbeyan Cup

📍 Patches Asphalt Park, QueanbeyanOur Under 18 Men’s and Women’s teams kick off the preseason campaign by competing in the Queanbeyan Cup, an important early hit-out and a great chance to test themselves against strong opposition. 

Friday 28th February – Senior Men’s Preseason Camp

📍 Monarch Park 

The Senior Men will take part in a preseason camp at home, focusing on fitness, connection and setting standards for the year ahead. 

Saturday 7th March – Practice Match

📍 Gumly Oval, Wagga @ 4pm

Our Senior Men head to Wagga for a practice match against the Wagga Tigers, a key opportunity to build match fitness and fine-tune structures. 

Saturday 14th March – Practice Matches

📍 Bill Smyth Oval, Narooma - Times TBA

A big day of preseason footy with:

• Senior Men vs Turvey Park

• Senior Women vs Narooma / Bomaderry

This will be an important final hit-out before the season proper begins.

Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th March – Gather Round

📍 Monarch Park

Preseason rolls straight into Round 1 of the AFL Canberra First Grade Men’s and Women’s competition, hosted at Monarch Park across two days. A huge weekend of football to officially launch the 2026 season.

With preseason well underway, excitement is building across the club as we prepare for what promises to be the biggest year in the clubs history.
